Shannon Naylor Wolf

1989-2020

On Wednesday November 18, 2020 our beautiful Shannon, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away from brain cancer.

Shannon is survived by her husband Joshua Wolf, daughter Lydia, parents E. Bradley and Linda Naylor, sister Jessica (Jason) Welch, brothers Daniel (Anjie) Naylor, Brandon Naylor, Justin Naylor, and Jared (Britlyn) Naylor, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Garth Naylor, Elaine Naylor, Harlo and Denise Petersen, Uncle Douglas E. Naylor, Aunt Mary Harris and cousins Emilee Naylor, Chad Petersen and Regan Jensen.

Shannon spent most of her life in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Evergreen junior high and Olympus High where she loved art, swimming, lifeguarding and competed in soccer and basketball. After graduation she worked as an orthodontic assistant but was restless in her search for happiness and moved on to several jobs until her dream of a happy marriage and family became a reality.

She loved to travel and was a beach girl at heart. She enjoyed wake surfing, snowboarding and biking as well as laughter, games and fun with family and friends. Although Shannon was usually quiet and reserved, she knew how to tease and brightened each of our lives with her sarcastic dry humor, quick wit, and profound remarks. She was energetic, athletic and competitive in all aspects of her life, all of which she exemplified by her intense determination and endurance as she battled the cancer beast to beat the odds the doctors gave her. Like the champion she was born to be she fought her 12-18 month diagnosis for 6 1/2 years.

Though her life was taken much too soon her adventurous spirit, fearless heart and unshakable convictions, was inspiring to all. Her creative and artistic talents in drawing, insightful note writing and handmade cards reflected her love and will be cherished forever.

She had a passion for life, a deep love of family but above all she loved and lived for her husband and daughter, they being her greatest joy. She saw each day as a blessing and thought of their needs before her own. As a family we find peace and comfort in knowing her life and love is endless and eternal. We know she is still the same loving, caring, thoughtful, and mischievous Shannon, "Shink" we love. This isn't goodbye, it's see ya later! She hasn't disappeared and will linger in our hearts until we meet again as family, together forever.

Due to covid there will be no funeral only a private memorial for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to donate to help Josh with medical and burial costs. (Firefighters Credit Union Shannon Naylor Wolf acct. #16241 or https://gf.me/u/y9tx3d)

We may not see your smile today, but feel your love's not far away.

You've gone to heaven's realm to be, with angels for eternity.

To live in peace with no more pain, you wait for us in your free rein.

We feel your essence every day, with faith and hope we'll find a way.

To see your smile, rejoice above, and live forever with God's love.

Until that day, where we shall meet together at our Savior's feet.
