Christopher Thomas Senn Obituary

Beloved Son, Brother, Nephew, Grandson, and Friend entered into eternal rest

Christopher (Chris) Thomas Senn was born on September 1, 2001 to Katie Francies Senn at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. On July 4th, 2021 Chris became a victim of a senseless act of violence protecting his friend.

Chris was a smart, energetic, happy baby boy. He was always on the go and very curious. He had a personality that you couldn’t help but like. He always made you laugh and was a true Mommas boy.

Chris joined the home of Victoria and Randy Thomas at the age of 9. He immediately became part of the family. He arrived with very few possessions. We considered it an honor to have Chris as a member of our family. He was our caboose that made our family more complete. We are grateful for the love he shared during his short time on this earth.  In addition, Chris loved his dogs, Toro and Thunder, and his football team, the Denver Broncos.

Chris was simply one of the most generous souls around and would give anything he owned to anyone in need.  In addition he always stood up for others who were getting picked on. His courage and willingness to help others made Chris the unsung hero for so many people in his life.

Chris went on at least one vacation a year where he and his family shared more memories and smiles than one could count. You never knew what adventures would await us. One of his adventures consisted of getting up at 4 a.m. to go deep sea fishing in San Diego, California.

At the age of 14 Chris published a book titled, “ Parents for Sale” for his Eagle Scout project that told his story.  He overcame so many obstacles in life and wanted to share his story with others  to help them. His books can be found at the Christmas Box House, Archway, JRC, Metro Gang Unit, and doctor offices. He sold over 200 copies and donated the money to the Scouting program.

Chris graduated from Taylorsville High School in 2020.  During his high school years he enjoyed swimming, playing football and wrestling.  He excelled in wrestling and received many medals. He was always too modest to stand on the podium to receive his medals, he never wanted any attention or recognition.

Chris loved food.  His favorite foods were sushi, angel food cake, Takis, Powerade, tomatoes, Chinese food, steak and anything spicy. One of his favorite snacks was Takis with lemon juice. Chris was an excellent cook. His passion for food led him to a summer of culinary classes. The dishes he created were divine. It was always a treat when Chris would cook.

Chris endured so much in his short life and was blessed to have two families that loved him very much. He is survived by his Mom, Katie Sorensen, older sister Katelynn Marie Senn, his younger brother Tristen Lorin Sorensen and the Thomas Family; Randy and Victoria Thomas, siblings: Tiffany Thomas, Tamara Chaffin (Phil) and their four children Annalise,Nathan, Micheal and James,  Talisha Bacon (Chad), Randall-Victor Thomas and his Grandmother (Myrell Eccles Thomas), his dogs Torro and Thunder, and many other family and friends.  He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace our young Hero. We love you and will miss you.
