Carol "Dean" Williams

September 16, 1946 — December 31, 2021

Murray, UT - Carol “Dean” Williams, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021 of

complications related to Parkinson's disease. She spent her final days and weeks surrounded by family and loved ones.

Dean was born on September 16, 1946 at a Naval Hospital in Panama. She was the first child of Roy and Evelyn Seay, of Spartanburg, South Carolina. While her father was away with the navy, and throughout the rest of her life, Dean served as a second mother to her three sisters [Jacque Wilson, Nancy Cooley, and Candy Chapman] and two brothers [Roy “Butch” Seay, and Bob Seay].

While studying French at Brigham Young University, she met the love of her life L Jay Williams, of Montebello, California. They were married at the Los Angeles California Temple on June 2, 1967.

She worked nearly thirty years as a teacher's aide for Granite School District, teaching life and academic skills to thousands of underprivileged children. She served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a young women's leader and girls' camp director. She opened her home to several foster children, to extended family members, and to any other people in need who crossed her path. The impressions she left and the impact she made on the lives of people she served will endure forever.
