Valmir Correia Do Nascimento

Nasceu em 28 de janeiro de 1965, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, e partiu em paz no dia 11 de junho de 2026, após uma corajosa batalha contra o câncer.

Filho de Vanor do Nascimento (falecido) e Odete Correia do Nascimento. Deixa sua esposa Veronica Nascimento , filhos Tiffany Nascimento , Ethan Nascimento e Melany Nascimento .Após servir uma missão de tempo integral para a Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias na Missão Recife–Brasília, de 1984 a 1986, retornou ao Rio de Janeiro, onde conheceu e se casou com o amor de sua vida, Veronica. Após dois anos de casamento, o casal imigrou para Utah, Estados Unidos, em 1991, iniciando juntos uma nova etapa de suas vidas.

Nos Estados Unidos, formou-se em Ciência da Computação e trabalhou por muitos anos na área de tecnologia, demonstrando inteligência, dedicação e perseverança.

Juntos construíram uma família amorosa e foram abençoados com três filhos: Tiffany, Ethan e Melany, que sempre foram motivo de grande alegria e orgulho para ele.

Foi um membro fiel de A Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias durante toda a sua vida. Serviu com dedicação em diversos chamados, guardando um carinho especial por sua missão de tempo integral e, mais recentemente, por seu serviço como bispo. Porém, seu chamado favorito foi de professor da Escola Dominical.

Seu amor pelo Salvador, era imensurável, trazendo uma convicção de que atravez do sacrifício de Jesus Cristo ele estaria ao lado do seu Criador. Sua fé guiou sua vida, fortaleceu sua família e inspirou todos aqueles que tiveram a oportunidade de conhecê-lo.

Será lembrado por seu amor ao Salvador, por sua profunda devoção à família e pela bondade que demonstrava a todos ao seu redor. Seu exemplo de fé, serviço e amor continuará vivo no coração daqueles que tiveram o privilégio de caminhar ao seu lado.

Sentiremos profundamente sua falta. Sua ausência será sentida por sua esposa, seus filhos, familiares, amigos e por todos aqueles cujas vidas foram tocadas por seu exemplo e amizade.

Nós o amaremos para sempre.

Uma visita será realizada em 3676 West 4700 South Taylorsville, Utah, A Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias no sábado, 20 de junho de 2026, das 10:30 às 11:00. Os serviços fúnebres seguirão às 11:00 no mesmo prédio.

Our beloved Valmir Correia do Nascimento was born on January 28, 1965, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and passed away peacefully in his home on June 11, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Son of Vanor do Nascimento (deceased) and Odete Correia do Nascimento. He leaves behind his wife, Veronica Nascimento, and children Tiffany Nascimento, Ethan Nascimento, and Melany Nascimento.

After serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Recife–Brasília Mission from 1984 to 1986, he returned to Rio de Janeiro, where he met and married the love of his life, Veronica. After two years of marriage, the couple immigrated to Utah, United States, in 1991, beginning a new chapter of their lives together.

In the United States, he graduated with a degree in Computer Science and worked for many years in the technology field, demonstrating intelligence, dedication, and perseverance.

Together, they built a loving family and were blessed with three children: Tiffany, Ethan, and Melany, who were always a source of great joy and pride for him.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He served with dedication in various callings, holding a special fondness for his full-time mission and, more recently, for his service as a bishop, although his favorite calling of all was being a Sunday school teacher.

His love for the Savior was immeasurable, bringing a conviction that through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, he would be with his Creator. His faith guided his life, strengthened his family, and inspired all those who had the opportunity to know him.

He will be remembered for his love for the Savior, his deep devotion to his family, and the kindness he showed to everyone around him. His example of faith, service, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of walking alongside him.

We will deeply miss him. His absence will be felt by his wife, his children, family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his example and friendship.

We will love him forever.

A viewing will be held at 3676 West 4700 South Taylorsville, Utah, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday June 20 2026 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 at the same building.
