Sherrill Anne Youngquist Johnson Jessop

The little old lady from Pasadena has left the building. Sherrill Anne Youngquist Johnson Jessop, the daughter of George Emil Youngquist and Florence Elizabeth Holm passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 18th in Bountiful, Utah.

Her shining blue eyes and delightful smile graced the Earth for 85 years. Sherrill was born May 6, 1941 in Pasadena, California. She loved to travel and felt that getting to know other cultures make the world a better place. Her heart was in a place that she called home for eight years; Paris, France.

Her sewing skills were legendary. Not only did she make her kids clothing, she also helped others as an adult education sewing teacher. She was a generous and kind woman that made everyone feel special.

Sherrill is survived by her sister Marly, four children; Douglas (Camille) Youngquist Johnson Jessop; Gina Jessop; Valarie Scott and Debbie (Chris) Miller as well as 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sherrill, you are our favorite Mom, Grandma Sherrill, Great Grandma in the whole wide world and your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will love you forever and always. You will be remembered.

According to her wishes, Sherrill’s ashes will become part of the Pacific Ocean in a private family ceremony.
