Sharon Sedgwick Cheney

Sharon was born 12-15-1934 to Melvin Roy Sedgwick and Albertha Leona Porter Sedgwick. She passed away of natural causes at 89 with 2 of her Cheney daughters by her side in So Jordan, Utah 4/21/2024. She was raised in Woods Cross Ut. with her brother Don. She graduated from Davis High School in 1952.

She married Frank R. Dunn on 9-24-1954, they had 4 children together. Daughter Debra Foster, Sons, Rick, Kip, and Jeff. She was a loving and devoted mother. They divorced 18 years later. She enjoyed attending youth sports and seldom missed her sons or grandsons Baseball or Basketball games, she worked in food service at the Salt Palace and Derks Field. She later worked as a Secretary at Wasatch Service and Supply, and HOJ Engineering. Where she met the true love of her life, Earl Cheney. They married on 9-10-1988. Sealed in the Jordan River Temple on 8-18-2000. Together they enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, attending the Hale Theater and spending time with their blended family. They also enjoyed taking care of and decorating their home for every holiday. They were very happy together. She then cared for him through his Alzheimer journey, until his passing on 11-09-2012. She also enjoyed Crocheting, plastic canvas designs, puzzle building, Hummingbirds and Eagles. She would also travel to Las Vegas as often as she could to visit her children. She will be greatly missed

She is survived by her children, 1 Grandson, 3 Great Grandsons, 4 Stepdaughters, 1 Stepson, Step Grandchidren, and Step Great Grandchildren

She is to be laid to rest for ever together next to Earl in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, with a Graveside Service 5/4/2024 12:00 PM
