Sarita Melgar Avalos

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sarita Melgar Avalos on May 10th, 2024, at the age of 75. She was born on July 14th, the beloved daughter of Dionicio Melgar and Marcela Sarabia. 

Sarita was a cherished mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to her family, instilling values of love, kindness, and strength in everyone she met. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Ernesto, her children David, Isaac, Aaron, and Yahaira, along with a long list of family and friends who showed her love and support throughout her life. 

Sarita had a passion for serving her church and helping those in need. She spent her time volunteering at her church food bank and clothing donation center. She spent time praying for her loved ones and those in need. When she wasn’t helping others, she loved reading and doing puzzles, she loved going to yard sales and thrift stores to see what treasures she could find. She loved spending time outside taking care of her plants and flowers. She loved music and would dance any moment she could. She dedicated her life to her family and was a pillar of strength and support to all who knew her.

A celebration of Sarita's life will take place on June 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Saint Joesph the Worker Catholic Church. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and celebrate her extraordinary life. 

Sarita was more than a wife and mother; she was a beacon of light and love. Her life was marked by her dedication to family, her unyielding kindness, and her remarkable spirit. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and left an indelible mark on the world. She will be forever remembered and cherished.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Sarita Melgar Avalos el 10 de mayo de 2024, a la edad de 75 años. Nació el 14 de julio, siendo la amada hija de Dionicio Melgar y Marcela Sarabia. 

Sarita fue una madre, esposa, abuela, hermana y amiga muy querida. Dedicó su vida a su familia, inculcando valores de amor, bondad y fortaleza en todos los que conoció. Su sonrisa, espíritu gentil y apoyo incondicional serán profundamente extrañados por todos los que la conocieron. 

Le sobreviven su esposo, Ernesto, sus hijos David, Isaac, Aarón y Yahaira, junto con una larga lista de familiares y amigos que le mostraron amor y apoyo a lo largo de su vida. 

Sarita tenía una pasión por servir su iglesia y por ayudar a los mas necesitados. Dedicaba su tiempo como voluntaria en el banco de alimentos y el centro de donación de ropa de su iglesia. Pasaba tiempo rezando por sus seres queridos y por quienes lo necesitaban. Cuando no estaba ayudando a los demás, le encantaba leer y hacer rompecabezas, le gustaba ir a ventas de garaje y tiendas de segunda mano para ver qué tesoros podía encontrar. Le encantaba pasar tiempo al aire libre cuidando sus plantas y flores. Amaba la música y bailaba en cualquier momento que podía. Dedicó su vida a su familia y fue un pilar de fortaleza y apoyo para todos los que la conocieron. 

Una celebración de la vida de Sarita tendrá lugar el 28 de junio de 2024 a las 11:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica San José Obreroen West Jordan Utah. Se invita a amigos y familiares a compartir sus recuerdos y celebrar su extraordinaria vida. 

Sarita fue más que una esposa y madre; fue un faro de luz y amor. Su vida estuvo marcada por su dedicación a la familia, su inquebrantable bondad y su espíritu notable. Tocó los corazones de todos los que conoció y dejó una huella indeleble en el mundo. Será recordada y apreciada por siempre.
