Bountiful

Sandi Orlob, 79, died peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Sandi was born on April 28, 1946. Her birth mother, Vadis [Scott] Frost died during childbirth, and Sandi was lovingly adopted and raised by Bernice [Curley] and LeRoy Foss, who gave her a joyful and nurturing childhood.

Sandi was a free spirit at heart, with a remarkable artistic talent. A gifted painter, she expressed her creativity with color and imagination, often seeing beauty in places others overlooked. She loved to travel and embrace adventure, seeking out new places, people, and experiences that fed her soul and gave her countless stories to share.

Together with her then husband, Stanley Orlob, she built and managed Orlob Photo-Graphics, where she wore many hats as owner, manager, graphic artist, and illustrator. This business was a defining part of her young life and another outlet for her creative talents. She continued her artistic endeavors as a graphic designer for the Utah Education Association. Though she later transitioned into the corporate world with American Express and IBM, her true self always shone through her art, her humor, and her thoughtful nature.

She and Stanley raised three children—Tiffany (Ben), Sean (Juliene), and Patrick (Cassandra). Though they later divorced when their children were grown, they remained on friendly terms throughout their lives. She sat with Stan as he was dying, and he said seeing her again was like Christmas morning before he passed.

In her twenties, Sandi discovered that she had a biological brother and sister who had been adopted together by another family. Reconnecting with them gave her loving new relationships with her siblings, Gary Lewis and Barbara [Lewis] Marcum, and their families. Sandi was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She delighted in her six grandchildren—Alex, Rose, Sean Corwin, Vivian, Finn, and Archie—and her two great-grandchildren, Mikey and Astraeus, who was born just weeks before her passing. They brought her endless joy, and she leaves with them a legacy of laughter, love, and creativity.

With her laid-back nature and calm presence, Sandi had a way of easing stress—choosing laughter, often through a perfectly timed pun, over worry. She will be remembered for her generosity, her adventurous spirit, her artistic soul, and the peaceful steadiness she carried through life. Her life was a canvas painted with color, humor, love, and adventure—one that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
