Robby Mouritsen, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 15, 2025 in South Jordan, Utah at the age of 22.
Robby was born on September 7, 2003, to Mariela and Rob Mouritsen. He was a quiet and reserved young man with a super kind heart. Pure, sweet, and gentle by nature, Robby had a subtle sense of humor and a calming presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robby loved all kinds of sports. He loved watching them, and he loved playing them. But soccer was his true passion. He played from a young age on some of the best teams and was an exceptionally talented player. He also played on the Bingham High School volleyball team, where he excelled and enjoyed the camaraderie of his teammates.
He also enjoyed playing the piano, and we loved hearing the hymns and other music ringing through our home when he would play. We’re going to miss that so much.
Robby loved to travel and was fortunate to experience many trips with his family, both throughout the United States and internationally. His love of travel led him to work in the hotel industry, where he found practical joy in helping his family benefit from hotel discounts—something they will always smile about and appreciate.
Robby had a very tender heart, especially when it came to animals. Though he may have merely tolerated our dog Snoopy, he dearly loved our dog Chloe. He took special care of her, gently trimming the hair around her eyes so she could see well, and enjoyed spending quiet time with her watching TV or playing together.
Robby was thoughtful and disciplined in many ways. He enjoyed eating healthy (most of the time) and liked cooking some of his meals for himself at home. He was very intelligent and a dedicated student. Robby graduated from Bingham High School with the Class of 2022 and was attending Utah Valley University. He had just completed his most recent semester with straight A’s while taking challenging coursework—an achievement his family is proud of him for.
In his later years, Robby faced challenges expressing how he was feeling, but his family wants him to know that he was deeply loved and that his love for them was felt. His presence in their home was a quiet but constant comfort, and his absence is felt profoundly. Oh, how we’re going to miss seeing all those half-eaten bananas laying around now.
Robby is survived by his loving parents, Mariela and Rob Mouritsen, his siblings, Abby (25) and Alex (19), as well as his grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins who love him very much.
Though their hearts are broken, Robby’s family finds profound peace in the sure knowledge that families are eternal and in the promises of reunion made possible through the Savior Jesus Christ.
Robby will be missed more than words can express and remembered throughout our lives. We look forward to the beautiful day when we’ll see him again.
