Richard "Rick" Lloyd Nepolis Jr

Richard “Rick” Lloyd Nepolis Jr., age 62, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on September 24, 2026, in Taylorsville, Utah.

Rick was born on July 6, 1964, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Richard L. Nepolis Sr. and Nan White. He attended Granger High School and went on to work for Kennecott Copper for many years before retiring.

On February 14, 1997, Rick married the love of his life, Lisa Nepolis. Together, they shared over 30 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, family, and countless memories.

Rick will be remembered most for his deep love for his family and friends, his unmatched sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and incredibly big heart. He had a way of making people laugh and was always there for the people he loved.

He found some of his greatest happiness outdoors. Rick loved the mountains and enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping, especially when those adventures were shared with his wife and family. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and had a lifelong love of rock and roll music, especially Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads.

Family was at the center of Rick’s life. He shared an especially close and meaningful bond with his mother, Nan, and his sister, Lori “Boo.” His love, humor, loyalty, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Nepolis; his mother, Nan White; his children, Daniel Morrison, Alicia Rose, Cameron Nepolis, Shayla Morrison, and Bella Morrison; his sister, Lori “Boo” Tafoya; his brother, Travis Nepolis; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michelle and Darren Acord; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Kim Christenson; and his grandchildren, Haley Rose, Champ Rose, Hudson Stephenson, Mason Brennan, Bella King, Jordan Nepolis, and Sophia Ta’ala and nephew Cassidy Tafoya He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his fathers, Richard L. Nepolis Sr. and Charlie “Chief” White; his grandparents; his brother-in-law, Michael Christenson; and his best friend, Todd Tafoya.

Rick, you leave behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, stories, and so much love. Your absence will be felt by all of us, but the love you gave so freely and the memories you created will live on in our hearts forever. You were deeply loved, will be greatly missed, and never forgotten.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life honoring Rick will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
