Rebekah Joy Stowell of West Valley City, Utah, was a proud mother of three amazing children, whom she leaves behind: Raquel Stowell, Sariah Stowell, and Alejandro Ocampo, as well as her mom, Leila Stowell, and brothers Ivan (Trish) and Bradley Stowell (Hy Ludmer).
Becky passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 45.
Becky was born on December 24 th 1980, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Bradley and Leila Stowell.
Throughout her time here on earth, her kids believe their mother's role in the family was being the backbone of the family, while also being known as a free-spirited, bull-headed human being, especially to those she cared for the most. Whenever her family or friends would need help with anything, she would volunteer to help where she could. Becky would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. One thing that Becky cared about more than her kids was her family. Becky would always say family is everything and is the one thing you shouldn’t walk away. Becky was a mother, a sister, an aunt, and best friend to her 3 amazing children.
Becky was always there for them when they had a question or needed to figure something out. They knew that they could always go to her with any problem. She was the most beautiful, smart, strong woman that they have ever laid eyes on. Becky is going to be a hard one to replace in this world. She was the kids’ favorite person, their best friend, and she will be deeply missed by all.
Becky was trying very hard to do better. She was starting to go to church, trying her best to get along with others, even though things kept piling on her shoulders; she was trying to do better. This world just got too much for her. Mom, we love you with all of our hearts, and you will be very missed forever.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Services for Becky will be held on Monday, August 31st 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Landmark Apostolic Church, 3950 S Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84123
