Owen Anderson

Owen Clyde “Andy” Anderson, 77 of Bountiful, Utah passed away peacefully in his home on June 14th. He was born on June 11, 1944, to Lola Merriam and Frederik Moyle Anderson in Manti, UT where he lived until he graduated high school. He then moved to Salt Lake City where he attended Stevens Henagar college. He at this time began his career at the phone company where he worked for 45 years.

During this time, he met his future wife, Diane Timothy who happened to move in next door during this time with roommates. Owen and Diane were sealed in the Manti Utah temple where they were married for 57 years. They had 6 children, 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Diane and children Kevin (Colette), Jill Kinder (Danny), Chad, Kirk (Bobbie), Karl (Jennifer) Keith and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Moyle and Lola, brother Paul, sister Sharon and granddaughter Mackenzie.

He worked for Target part-time where he loved to visit with the customers, and many would seek out his checkout line. He was a great storyteller and loved to tease and tell jokes. He loved fishing and camping. He loved watching western movies especially any with John Wayne. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved being a grandpa and his grandkids loved him.

Viewing Thursday June 17, 2021, from 6-8 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bountiful located at 115 E Wicker Ln.

A viewing will also be held on Friday June 18, 2021, at 10 am at the same location with the service following at 11 am. All are invited. Interment will follow at the Bountiful city Cemetery.
