Nadine Tate

February 10, 1927 — July 18, 2016

Nadine (Call) Tate. 89, passed from this life on July 18, 2016. She was born of goodly
parents, Horace Arthur and Leona May (Papworth) Call on February 10, 1927, in Tucson,
Arizona. On April 19, 1945, she married her sweetheart, Willard Richards Tate, in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Nadine was a talented and creative woman. She loved music and had a beautiful soprano
voice. She also liked to paint. She was a great organizer and planner and faced each new challenge
with an energetic and positive flair. She served in many leadership positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and represented her family at PTA activities and as Mrs. Culver City.

Nadine and Willard loved to tour the United States in their camper as well as traveling all over the world.
Nadine had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was steadfast and firm in keeping all of His commandments, and taught her family well. She loved the many missionaries they worked with as she and Willard served as the office couple in 6 California missions: San Bernardino (twice), San Francisco, Carlsbad, Long Beach, and Riverside.

Her posterity will greatly miss her sense of humor and her love for family. She is survived by 7 children, 40 grandchildren 83 great grandchildren.

Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, a daughter-in-
law, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 23rd at the Fairway Church at 1533 N 1075 W
Farmington 84025. Viewing that morning 9:30 – 10:30 Funeral 11:00. Internment at the Salt
Lake City Cemetery in the Avenues – 4th Ave, & “N” Street, SLC. In lieu of flowers please donate to
the Missionary Fund at lds.org.
