Mary Jane Mascaro Healy
Passed away December 13, 2018 at home in her sleep.
She was born July 29, 1932 in Bingham Canyon, a daughter of Charles Pasquale Mascaro and Carolina Mascaro.
Married Melvin K Healy Sr, January 5, 1951. Later Solomnized in the SL LDS Temple 1962.
Mom was born at home in Bingham Canyon and was premature. She is a miracle because she was so small that they put her in a shoe box next to the stove to keep her warm. The family moved to Midvale where she grew up. Graduating from Jordan High School as a proud Beet Digger.
Married Melvin and moved to Kearns where she was very active in taking the census door to door and setting up the voting registration at her home. Mom was always active in civic duties. She used to send recipes into the Newspaper. She loved being involved in Church activities. They moved to Taylorsville in 1969.
Mom and dad loved to go camping and fishing. On their honeymoon they packed into the High Uintahs for two weeks.
They always took family and friends on fishing trips together.
Mom and dad would go to Flaming Gorge and Brownie Lake and would stay for 3 months, cutting their own wood and hauling water to the campsite. They would also invite anyone who wanted to come and stay. They would go fishing everyday.
Our mother loved everybody. Everybody was always welcome in her home.
