Mindy McDonald, 54, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away on March 14, 2024. She was born on April 12, 1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mindy was a beloved Special Education teacher, dedicating her life to helping and supporting her students.

Mindy will be deeply missed by her husband, Jeff McDonald, her son Josh McDonald, daughter-in-law Marcie Poole, grandsons Ethan Carlson and Liam McDonald, as well as her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Manzanares.

In addition to her successful career, Mindy had a wide range of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed traveling--loved California beaches, reading, watching old movies and television, especially Little Rascals, and animated childrens' films from Pixar, Dreamworks, and Illumination. Mindy also had a passion for sports--in particular baseball and basketball, visiting museums, attending concerts, spending time with her family, playing with dogs, endless summer days with her grandsons playing in water, attending her grandsons' karate classes and sporting events, and coloring with her grandsons.

Mindy's legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her students, her friends, and her zest for life.


Please join us celebrating the life of beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, teacher, mentor, student, neighbor, artist, and friend, Marinda “Mindy” McDonald. We plan to gather in her honor, where we can come together to share cherished memories and pay our respects to a remarkable woman. 


We will meet Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Taylorsville 8th Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1495 Tamarack Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84123.
