Listen to Obituary

Jolene Bryce Simmons of Magna, Utah, passed away peacefully with her family and loved ones on 6/7/2026 at the age of 92.

Born on 2/20/1934 in Roosevelt, Utah. Mother lived a life filled with kindness, love, and teaching on how to be a splendid example of being a great mother to her children. She worked as a seamstress for Beehive Clothing. She was known for her Fabulous Cooking and the art of being an amazing caregiver.

Mother lived a life marked by service and dedication to family and friends. She had 5 kids in the space of 9 years. Mom and Dad worked hard to create a home full of kindness and love. We were always taught the value of hard work and the importance of surrounding ourselves with great friends. She made sure everyone was welcome and comfortable in our home.

Mother enjoyed the holidays with her family. Making special gifts with ceramics, crocheting, and sewing special gifts.

Mother will be remembered for her famous group of friends (the posse), who were always helping all those who needed a step up. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mother had many hardships throughout her life. My brother Russell was involved in a shooting incident that left him a quadriplegic for the rest of his life and needed constant care. She was always there, tending to his needs. She had Type 1 Diabetes, and she suffered a seizure; she had to have her dominant arm removed. Her grandchildren had the honor of having most of them get a chance to move in and take care of her. They have such great memories of living with Grandma Joe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rita and Floyd Bryce, her eternal husband, Allen Simmons, her firstborn son, Russell Bryce Simmons, and her grandsons, Ricky Simmons and Britt Nielsen. She is survived by son Curt Simmons (Wendy), grandsons Miles, Collin, and Marshall. Daughter Cathy Cenci (Kurtis), mother of Britt, grandson Taryn, and Bryce. Son Ricky, father of Ricky, granddaughter Lacey. Tina Simmons son, Brad, granddaughters Taylor and Kylee, Sherri Smith, Dee Bryce, and Richard Bryce.
