Jean Purser Smith

It is with grateful hearts and buckets of tears we sadly announce the passing of our dear mom, Jean Purser Smith, on August 19th 2025. She was born June 18th , 1926, to James L. Purser (Larry) and Cleo Holt Purser. She Married James E Smith (Jim) on July 2nd, 1945. They had four children, two boys and two girls. The boys Comer and Val Smith proceeded her in passing. She is survived by her daughters, Jill Stanford and Sheri McKee. She has ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three almost four great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers James H Purser and Jack E Purser, numerous nieces and nephews.

She loved people and served many jobs in her church. She especially loved working in the Jordan River Temple. Mom loved quilts and quilting. We spent many hours going to fabric stores and quilt guilds with Alisa and Cousin Jamie.

Her Family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the hospice people who came to help with her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Also thank you to all her family and friends whom she loved dearly.
