Jason Matthew Detton

Jason Matthew Detton, 50, passed away in his home on July 13th, 2025. A celebration of life will be held in his honor on August 15th, 2025 between 5:00 and 8:00 PM at 1495 Tamarack Rd. in Taylorsville, Utah.

Jason was born on April 3rd, 1975 in Bountiful, Utah. He spent 12 years as a branch manager for Deseret First Credit Union, where he was loved and respected by his employees and members. As a young man Jason loved to sing, and enjoyed music and classic movies. He took great pride in his role as a husband and father, and never missed an opportunity to pass down a lesson, tell a good story, or make someone laugh. He also served his community through numerous callings as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Carol Detton, and his older brother, Jeffrey Detton. He is survived by his wife, Sommer Detton, his daughters Sierra Winder (Conner), Savannah Detton, and Rebekah Detton; and his siblings Michelle Kelly (Tim), Danielle Kemper (Matt), Tyler Detton, and Christina Detton.

Jason will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his stories, and his love for his family.
