Eula "Mae" Gomer of Murray Utah passed away at home with family on October 24th, 2024.
Mae was born November 3rd, 1930, to Grover and Beulah Sessums. She was the 2nd to the youngest of nine children.
Mae spent the early part of her life in the Ft. Worth Texas area. She married Edgar "Bill" Gomer on October 6th, 1951. Together they welcomed three children Bruce, Preston and Melissa "Lisa". Mae and Bill moved frequently throughout their married life. Living in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico before settling in Utah. They spent 68 years together before Bill passed in 2019.
Mae was an avid reader and loved a good mystery. She also loved to sew and made many of Melissa's clothes as a child. She worked in banking and insurance processing. Mae was particularly close to her sisters Lorine and Louise. She spent the last 5 years living with her daughter Melissa, son-in-law Mike and grandson Gavin. During this time the highlight of her day was chasing the dogs with her walker.
As we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother we celebrate a woman of unlimited love, kindness, and giving. Mae never met a person she didn't like. Mae's passing will leave a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her love and laughter will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. We will cherish and miss but never forget Eula Mae.
Mae is preceded in death by her husband Bill, sons Bruce and Preston(Cindy), as well as her parents and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughter Melissa(Mike), grandchildren Billy(Quortnie), Terra(Troy), Gavin, Tyler, Nicole and great grandchildren Hayden, Emily, Matthew, and Madelynn.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday November 13th at Moore Memorial Gardens.
1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington TX.
We would like to thank Canyons Hospice. With a special thank you to nurse Kimmie and CNA Morgan. Gavin and Melissa appreciate the high level of care you gave Mae. Treating her with love, kindness and respect. And always sharing a laugh with us at her "Oh Lord comments".
