Ernest Timothy Garcia,

Returned home to our Heavenly Father on May 24, 2026. 

Born on September 21, 1966, in La Jara, Colorado, Timothy moved to Utah at the age of two and always considered it home. He was the beloved son of Arturo Ernesto Garcia and Maria Oclires Chacon. Known for his booming laughter and joyful spirit, Tim loved the outdoors, camping, taking walks, and spending time with his family. Despite his recent health battle with diabetes, he remained active and happy spirit and continued to live his life to the fullest. Timothy is survived by his wife, Octavia Medina Garcia; his children, Markeesha and Anthony, step-children; Estefan, Maria, Esperanza, and Miya, whom he raised as his own. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elias, Alonza, Arianna, Ahlazia, Damian, Paulina, and Emma; his siblings, Viola, Baldino, and Bridgette; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by all.

Tim is now free, resting in the arms of the Lord, and walking hand-in-hand with his parents once again in their heavenly home."Services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes located at (1100 East 670 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102). A viewing will be held at 11:00 AM with Mass to follow Immediately after. A celebration of Timothy’s life will also be held this September in honor of his birthday.
