Elia Tellez Soderstrom, age 72, passed away peacefully with her family by her side January 27, 2017, West Valley City, Utah. Born to Ernesto Tellez Hernandez and Maria Cruz Garcia Sanchez, April 29, 1944, in Tezontepec de Aldama Hidalgo, Mexico. Married Paul Soderstrom January 18, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the LDS Mount Timpanogos Temple January 16, 2010. Elia was an active member of the LDS Church. Elia worked for Beehive Clothing Mills for several years. She loved planting flowers, gardening, taking care of her chickens, sewing, and homemaking. Elia is survived by her husband Paul Soderstrom; her son Luigi Enrique "Quique" Ginori Tellez; her brother Gamaliel Tellez, San Marcos, Mexico; sisters Lidia Tellez, San Marcos, Mexico and Elena Tellez in Puebla, Mexico. Preceded in death by her parents, a son Gonzalo Antonio Ginori Tellez, and a brother Felipe Tellez. Services will be held Wednesday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 5180 West 4700 South, West Valley City. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1. Friends and family may visit from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31 at another LDS Church located at 4322 South 5400 West, West Valley City. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
