Diane Marie Carter

December 3, 1957 — September 24, 2025

Salt Lake City

Diane Marie Carter, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on the evening of September 24, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 67.

Born on December 3, 1957, Diane was a true original — bold, funny, loyal, and full of life. She was the kind of woman who told it like it was, loved fiercely, and made sure her family always knew how much they meant to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angie and Andy, and her brothers, Steve and Mike — and spoke often of how much she missed them. She leaves behind her two children, Monique and Kary Jr. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to those who brought her endless joy. Dominique and Ahnalia were her whole heart. She is also survived by her brother Andy, her sister Connie, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

A passionate fan of football, Diane cheered loudly for her beloved Utah Utes and Pittsburgh Steelers. She also had a love for gambling—whether it was playing cards at home with family or testing her luck at a casino. In her younger years, she was a talented bowler and often found joy at Rancho Lanes, striking up competition and camaraderie.

What people will remember most about Diane is her big heart, her sense of humor, and the way she always stayed true to herself. She did not sugarcoat things — if Diane had something to say, you heard it — but underneath her tough exterior was a woman who loved deeply and always showed up for the people she cared about.

She was one of a kind, and life will not be the same without her.

As a family, we invite anyone who knew and loved Diane to remember her in their own way — tell stories, laugh, cry, and hold your people close.
