Diane Timothy Anderson, 82, of Bountiful, Utah passed away on January 15, 2026. She was born on September 15, 1943 to Harold (Pink) Timothy and Barbara Angus in Roosevelt, Utah. Diane grew up in Roosevelt, Utah and graduated from Union High School in 1961.

She moved to Salt Lake City to go to LDS Business College and met Owen Anderson shortly after. On March 19, 1964, they were sealed in the Manti temple. They were together for 57 years before Owen passed away in 2021. They had six children, 19 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Diane worked in genealogy and indexing for many years. Family history was her passion. She loved to index and arbitrate for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She even got to index information for her own parents. One of her jobs had her travel to Bangladesh to teach others about microfiche. She really enjoyed her trips and talked about them even later in life.

She loved quilting and sewing. Diane always had baby blankets ready for the next baby born, whether it be a family member or a neighbor. She made quilts for her family and made some quilts with a few of her granddaughters. You could find her almost every year at the state fair, keeping an eye on the exhibits, and often being a judge.

Diane loved her home-grown tomatoes, slicing and eating them right as she got inside. You could always count on her macaroni salad and frozen fruit salad at family gatherings.

If you needed an audiobook to listen to, Diane was your gal. She had hundreds of books on tape and CD. To the surprise of many, she also loved watching ghost hunting shows.

Diane loved spending time with her family and loved being a grandmother. She loved children so much that in her later years, she spent time working as a lunch lady and often told stories about the children she met.

She is survived by her siblings; Edith Slaugh, Brent (Sue) Timothy, Bruce (Carol) Timothy, Jan (Curtis) Ercanbrack, her children; Kevin (Colette) Anderson, Jill (Danny) Kinder, Chad Anderson, Kirk (Bobbie) Anderson, Karl (Jennifer) Anderson, Keith Anderson, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Barbara, her husband Owen, and her granddaughter Mackenzie.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 6-8pm and on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 10-10:45am. Her funeral service will be on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11am. The viewings and funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 115 E Wicker Ln, Bountiful, UT 84010. All are invited.
