Dennis Brent Jacobsen, 75 of Centerville, Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Dennis fought a long courageous battle with cancer. He encouraged others whom he met to keep going and never give up. Dennis truly has been through the Refiners Fire with all that he has gone through in his life. His courage, faith and testimony and love for the Savior will always be with him throughout eternity.
Dennis served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints from April 1967 through 1969 in the Central States Mission.
On August 25, 1971, in the Salt Lake Temple he married the love of his life Terry Sue Adlard for time and all eternity. Dennis and Terry were blessed with seven children. Dennis loved his wife and children very much. He always said, “That’s what matters the most in his life.”
He will be truly missed by his wife and children for all that he has done and sacrificed for them throughout the 52 years of togetherness.
Dennis was preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Anne, a grandson, Mathew Jackson, and his father, John Robert Jacobsen
He is survived by his wife, Terry and his children, Brett (Jennifer), Brenda Bennett, Brian, Julie, Shauna (Wayne) Jackson, Erica, his 8 grandchildren, his mother Norma Hill Jacobsen, and sister Laurie Leib.
The family would like to thank Cancer Specialist staff and Quality Hospice Care for their kindness. A very special thank you to the Centerville Second Ward members for all that they have done for Dennis and Terry.
A viewing will be held for family and close friends on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 10:00 am at 1475 North 50 East in Centerville, Utah. Following will be a dedication of the grave at Bountiful City Cemetery.
