David married the love of his life Dorthy in the Salt Lake temple with whom he shared 57 ½ wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family. He is survived by Dorthy; their three sons, Brian, Terry, and Brad (Erin); and eight cherished grandchildren and his brother Alvin Ray who brought him pride and joy.
David lived a life defined by hard work, creativity, and dedication to those he loved. He spent many years as a projectionist in the movie theater business, where his love of film and precision behind the scenes brought countless stories to life for others to enjoy. Later in his career, David worked for the Utah Opera Company, where he served as Master Carpenter until his retirement. His craftsmanship, artistry, and attention to detail left a lasting impact on the productions and people he worked with.
David served in many capacities for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, including 2 years in the Cumorah mission. David also served with Dorthy as a temple worker for 2 ½ years in the Bountiful temple.
David was a proud South High graduate and stayed involved with other classmates through the monthly “Boomer lunch”. David loved the cruising life and had many great trips.
Those who knew David will remember his quiet strength, steady humor, and deep devotion to family and friends. He found joy in his work, pride in his craft, and fulfillment in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
David’s family wishes to thank all who have shared their love and support during this time. His life was a testament to dedication, love, and craftsmanship — and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.
