Brandon Michael Jaenish, age 51, passed away at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah on Sunday September 25, 2022. Brandon was born to Michael William Jaenish and MaryAnn Brady in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 13, 1970. Brandon is survived by his two children, Zachary Kenneth (21) and Wyatt Steven (16), their mother and Brandon’s ex-wife Jennifer Montrose, his mother MaryAnn Brady, sister Laura Jaenish, nieces Meg Whitney, Jaclyn Baker and Jennifer Baker, and friends and loved ones too many to name. Brandon is preceded in death by his father Michael William Jaenish.
Brandon was a graduate of East High School (1989) and Scottsdale Culinary Institute (1995). Brandon was a gifted chef and loved sharing his creations with family and friends. Brandon was recognized with several awards throughout his culinary career, and worked at some of Salt Lake and Park City’s finest restaurant establishments. Brandon loved camping, skiing, white water rafting and hiking in Utah’s red rock country. He experienced many adventures with his friends during his younger years, and he never lost his love of nature.
Brandon was a fun and thoughtful person, loving dad to his sons, and super talented in the kitchen. He will be greatly missed by those of us who were lucky enough to have known and loved him. Celebration of Life and Memorial for friends and family will be held from 2-5 pm on October 22, 2022 at Kimi’s Chop House and Oyster Bar, 2155 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.
