Alice Diana Wilkinson, beloved daughter of Gladys Lambert Wilkinson and Cecil Herbert Wilkinson passed away peacefully on August 4, 2023. Born in Roosevelt, Utah on November 5, 1927. She grew up and went to school in Roosevelt, Delta, Springville and Salt Lake City Utah. She graduated from South High School, University of Utah, and BYU. She had a passion for good grades and languages. Diana served in the Foreign Service in Germany, taught English in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Paris, France. Upon her return to Salt Lake, she worked for the Securities and Exchange Commission, where at the age of 70 and with high honors she earned her Paralegal Certificate. She retired from the S.E.C. at the age of 75. Diana spoke Portuguese, French and German fluently along with several other languages, and she taught English in China, Italy, Cuba, and the Navajo Nation. She enjoyed traveling and traveled throughout Europe, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, China, Cuba, Mexico, France, and Quebec. Diana had a deep love for animals and learning.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brother Cecil Herbert Wilkinson, jr., her bother-in-law Max Gerstner and many cousins. She is survived by her sister Judith Gerstner and bother Donald Ray (Lorna) Wilkinson, and many beloved nieces, nephews and a few cousins.
A viewing, from 12:30-1:00, followed by funeral services, from 1:00-2:00, for family and friends will be held Friday August 11, 2023 at the LDS ward house located at 951 East 100 South Salt Lake City, Utah. Internment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park
