Erold Clark Wiscombe
Erold Clark Wiscombe, 92 passed away on Wednesday, September 27th 2017 peacefully reuniting with his ancestors who have gone before him. Erold was the 4th Child of 6 Children of Arthur Newland & Blanch Clark Wiscombe of Roosevelt Utah. Erold was born July 19th 1925 and was a Boy Scout & World War II Veteran serving in the Navy as a Seabee in the Pacific Arena from 1943-1945 mainly in the Philippines. Erold served an LDS Mission to the North Central States Mission headquartered in Minnesota and covering parts of Canada. After his mission he married Phyllis Emily Kmetzsch (deceased 1987) of Salt Lake City who also had served in the same mission. Erold was absolutely passionate about Genealogy and Family History work and thoroughly enjoyed doing research work to find his relatives and while living in England and Germany gathered thousands of records of his ancestors. He was the director of the Family History Library in Brigham City for many years. He taught for over 20 years at the Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City and fostered many Indian placement students. He also worked at the Brigham City Community Hospital for many years and enjoyed helping others there. He served as the first Bishop of the LDS 22nd Ward in Brigham City Utah from 1977-1982 and loved his ward members dearly. He and Phyllis are the parents of 7 children Craig, Rem, Nathan (deceased) (Karen), Bart (Venita) , Mara (Don Rands), Joan (Don Larsen) & Dal (Julie) - 30 Grandchildren & 26 Great Grand Children with 2 more on the way. Erold spent many years in various capacities in his Church and simply loved serving others. He was a great example to his family and loved the outdoors and was an excellent gardener who enjoyed smelling the flowers and could grow just about anything. He lived in Salt Lake City next to Temple Square for many years and spent many years at Bart’s home in West Valley before staying his last year with his daughter Joan in the Big Sky country of Montana. Erold had a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and maintained that testimony all his days. He is now reunited with his Wife and Son and the many relatives who are waiting to meet him.

Funeral Services will be at the Hunter 10th Ward 5000 W. Pavant Ave. West Valley City, Utah 84120 - Saturday October 7th 9:30am Viewing with service at 11:00am - Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
